Jake Al-Haffar

This sofa was an exploration of form and design technique and is meant for use in a public or social setting. I designed it with Maya software and it is almost entirely CNC milled. The unique custom joints were designed to be able to easily take the sofa apart and reassemble: no nails or glue were used in its assembly.

Materials: birch plywood, upholstery foam, cotton.
